What Makes Us Different
A lot of things get better with age, but for most people, the skin on your face and neck is not one of them. An array of factors like genetics, lifestyle, diet, pollution, and the aging process in general add years to your face for an outward appearance that looks less vibrant than you may feel on the inside. However, science-based medical aesthetic therapies that address the effects of aging at the cellular level can help rejuvenate your skin, restore your self-esteem and confidence, and improve your overall sense of wellbeing for a glowing, youthful look at any age.
Unlike other medical aesthetic practices, The Hormone Zone takes a comprehensive approach that improves your body from the inside out for stunning, natural results. We combine our state-of-the-art aesthetic therapies with comprehensive medical analysis to give bespoke anti-aging solutions that go below the skin’s surface and address the problems within your body that are causing outward distress. From correcting hormone deficiencies and high stress and cortisol levels to improving thyroid function and nutrition, The Hormone Zone helps you experience the best results possible from aesthetic solutions so you can age the way you want while loving the way you look and feel.
How Aging Affects Your Skin and Face
Aging takes its toll on your skin and face in 3 primary ways.
1) The skin sags. Over time, the epidermis begins to thin and the fibrous connective tissues responsible for maintaining firmness in the skin and supporting it naturally begin to lose elastin and collagen at a rate of approximately 1% per year. This causes drooping particularly in the jowls and areas under the eyes.
2) You lose volume. Tissues, including skin, fat, bones, and muscle, atrophy over time, making what used to be plump and full now appear deflated and hollow. This creates the appearance of hollow temples, flattened cheeks, and sunken-in eye sockets.
3) Skin shows damage. Your skin begins to show the effects of a lifetime of sun and environmental damage and intrinsic aging, resulting in pigmentation changes like age and liver spots, loss of skin tone, and broken capillaries (spider veins) around the nose and sometimes cheeks.
Advanced Aesthetics at the Cellular Level from The Hormone Zone
While aging may be universal, everyone experiences the signs and symptoms differently. At The Hormone Zone, we draw upon multiple modalities to create a bespoke treatment plan that’s tailored to your unique needs and goal. Whether you want brighter, tighter skin or simply a more youthful profile overall, The Hormone Zone can help you look Noticeably Natural® at any age with proven, leading-edge solutions like:
Juvederm®. Juvederm® is an FDA-approved dermal filler that uses the benefits of hyaluronic acid (HA) to combat the signs of aging and address age-related volume loss in facial skin. HA is a naturally occurring substance and can be used to stimulate collagen production for better skin quality and elasticity; hydrate skin for a fresh, youthful glow; and add volume to plump skin and diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Juvederm® is most effective when used in the cheek and lip area.
Botox®. A trusted and time-tested solution for minimizing signs of aging like crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead lines and wrinkles, Botox® can take years off your face and smooth deep facial folds and lines caused by repetitive muscle movements. It is an FDA-approved neurotoxin derived from the botulinum toxin that, when injected into target areas, interrupts signals to nerve endings to temporarily limit muscle activity and relax the muscles in the forehead and eye areas.
Microneedling. By creating micro injuries and tiny channels in the skin with extremely fine needles, microneedling triggers a healing response in the skin, stimulating a boost of collagen and elastin production while enabling deeper absorption of topical products. Microneedling is effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, acne, and skin damage, as well as smoothing out uneven skin tone and sunspots. At The Hormone Zone, we often use microneedling in conjunction with the Vampire facial and/or facelift for optimal results.
Vampire facial. A Vampire facial combines the microneedling technique with platelet-rich plasma (PRP). It uses growth factors derived from your own blood to accelerate the skin’s healing response activated by the microneedling, improving blood circulation for a healthy glow, evening skin tone, and restoring an overall more youthful appearance.
Vampire facelift. The Vampire facelift is a non-invasive, FDA-approved procedure that combines PRP injections with hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers like Juvederm® or Restylane® to rejuvenate the skin and address an array of skin concerns. The fillers are administered to serve as a scaffold for growth factors, increase volume, and improve elasticity, then the PRP is applied to further enhance your face’s tone and volume. You’ll experience a noticeable difference in lift over time as the PRP continues to support additional collagen building.
PDO threading, or “thread lift.” PDO threading is an innovative treatment that bridges the gap between injectables and facial surgery, using dissolvable polydioxanone (PDO) sutures to lift and tighten sagging skin tissue. Embedded into the hypodermis, the sutures create a visible yet subtle lifting and smoothing effect while stimulating cellular renewal and collagen production for ongoing and progressive improvement in skin texture, fine lines, and elasticity. This non-permanent procedure is performed on the chin but benefits all parts of the upper and lower face, for results that can last up to 3 years.
Peptide therapy for hair and skin. Peptides are the body’s building blocks, responsible for performing specific functions for all of your physiological processes, including repair, restoration, and regeneration. Peptide therapy mimics your body’s peptide production to augment the number of peptides in your body and increase their effectiveness in slowing or even reversing signs of aging like skin inconsistencies, thinning hair, fine lines and wrinkles, and loose or sagging skin.
Glutathione IV therapy. A naturally occurring peptide composed of three essential amino acids (cysteine, glutamate, and glycine), glutathione is considered a master antioxidant that accelerates the body’s detoxification process. In addition to providing natural protection against oxidative stress, glutathione can also improve the brightness and appearance of your skin by increasing tissue building and repair, enhancing elasticity, and preventing cell damage and pigmentation. Delivery via IV directly into the bloodstream bypasses the digestive tract and dramatically amplifies glutathione’s benefits and effectiveness.
