WHAT IS OZONE?
Ozone (O3) gas itself was discovered in the mid-nineteenth century and is a molecule consisting of three atoms of oxygen in a dynamically unstable structure, which means it is a very reactive gas. Although atmospheric ozone, when mixed with pollution, can have dangerous effects, controlled ozone has many industrial and therapeutic benefits. Ozone therapy has been utilized and heavily studied for more than a century, with benefits that have been proven to be consistent, safe, and with minimal and preventable side effects. Among ozone’s primary mechanisms of action are inactivation of bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast and protozoa; stimulation of oxygen metabolism; and activation of the immune system.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF OZONE THERAPY?
Over the decades there have been many published studies examining how ozone may be beneficial to health by:
- Inactivating viruses, bacteria, fungi, yeast, parasites, and protozoa
- Promoting longevity
- Enhancing athletic performance
- Detoxifying
- Increasing energy level by accelerating the Kreb’s cycle in the mitochondria, increasing the amount of ATP produced and thereby providing more efficient overall metabolism
- Stimulating the immune system
- Scavenging excess free radicals through activation of antioxidant enzyme systems
- Improving circulation by breaking down plaques in arteries
- Purifying blood and lymph
- Exerting anti-inflammatory effects
- Reducing pain pathways
WHAT CONDITIONS BENEFIT FROM OZONE THERAPY?
Ozone therapy is used to help treat a variety of acute and chronic diseases including:
- Cardiovascular disease
- Diabetes
- Lyme Disease
- HIV
- Hepatitis
- Herpes
- Chronic fatigue states
- Chemical sensitivity
- Macular degeneration
- Chronic bladder conditions
- Colitis
- Crohn’s disease
- Stroke
- Hypertension
- RA
- Auto-immune Disease
- Eczema and psoriasis
- Lipid disorders
EBOO/RHP/Ozone Dialysis is undeniably the most effective ozone therapy in the world today, and is available through The Hormone Zone help you attain your best health.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT FORMS OF OZONE THERAPY?
The whole procedure takes about 20 to 25 minutes, a little longer than a regular IV that we do at the office. This is a procedure that more and more doctors are doing, but it is still relatively hard to find someone who does it and really knows what they are doing. But Ozone Therapy has been around since about the 1960s in one form or another.
The second way is Extracorporeal Blood Ozone Oxygenation (EBOO). EBOO, also known as Recirculatory Hemoperfusion (RHP), or Blood Dialysis, is the most advanced ozone treatment available in the world today, detoxing 1 – 3 liters of blood in one session through a continuous flow of ozone. With this technique, the patient’s blood is first drawn from a suitable vein through the use of an intravenous (IV) catheter. This blood flows into a tube, is then bathed in ozone, flows through a dialysis filter (that filters bacteria, viruses, and other harmful debris), and is then returned to the body through the tubing into an additional vein. This uninterrupted process continues over a 1 hour time period, with 1.8 to 3 liters of blood being ozonated and filtered before being returned to the body. The power of EBOO/RHP lies in both the ozonation and filtration processes, the only dual ozonation and filtration process that exists in the world today.

Anti-aging Effects of Ozone
Since decreased oxygen utilization is the primary cause of degenerative disease, the treatment of all diseases including autoimmune disorders, cancer, and cardiovascular disease is greatly enhanced in the presence of optimal oxygen utilization. Ozone therapy greatly enhances optimal oxygen utilization, and this is why ozone therapy is the current king among anti-aging therapies.
